In the Future of MyBlogBuilders.com: Client Online Content Management

July 10th, 2009 by admin

I just had a productive meeting with one of my neighbors who is a faculty member in the English Department of our local community college.  We are going to be collaborating on a number of projects, including building out our our content management services here at MyBlogBuilders.com. Like me, she is interesting in building a quality portfolio of content for our clients that is attractive both to the human reader, and also gets a lot of Google love in search engine ranking.

We are preparing to launch in the fall and will be offering a complete package of services.

When we launch we will be offering the first keyword analysis free, and a free consultation on the types of sites that could be developed profitably around a niche area.  You will know from this consultation which keywords will earn you money, and which will not; which will most likely profit from an AdWords campaign, and which will not.  You will know how to build out a constellation of authority sites around your keywords to help drive traffic to your main website.

If you then choose to work with us– and if we feel we can succeed in getting you to the first page of the search engine rankings for some profitable keywords– then we will go ahead and build a constellation of Web 2.0 sites for you and add fresh content on a monthly basis.

Kathryn Walsh and I both have very broad writing backgrounds.  Both of us can research and write on virtually any topic.  We will be adding staff and freelancers as we develop our client base further. Our writing staff will primarily be State-side native English speakers with versatile portfolios of writing and editing experience.

Some of the niche markets and topic areas for the work we have done to date are in:

Foreclosure and short sale market

Retail real estate

Environmental market/ climate change

Preparing for various careers

Reviews of products in various niches

Internet marketing, network or affiliate marketing, social marketing, information marketing

Blogging, writing and composition, fiction writing and essays

The Arts and Humanities

Math topics

Death and dying

Bankruptcy

Health and wellness

Dogs, other pets

Building materials and appliances, green building

Job market

Tax codes

Online shopping

Charitable giving

We will also be syndicating major content articles for clients, backlinking, and blog commenting to build up social buzz and authority for the content we publish for our clients.

In advance of our big launch, we will be taking clients on a case by case basis.  For a free keyword analysis and consultation, please fill out our contact form.  Please provide your name/company, email and phone contact information. We will then be happy to provide a free quotation for content management services based on the keyword analysis and your specific needs. We look forward to working with you!

Money Blogs – How To Structure Your Ads

January 3rd, 2010 by admin

Many things have been written about how to create the perfect blog that makes the most money. Everybody knows that content is king and that for the content to actually make money, you have to put ads on your page where people can click and possibly make a purchase. Any guru’s manual on how to start a blog will always make mention of one of the most popular ad-generating programs for your blog - Google Adsense. While this works by having people click on ads and earning you an amount for each click, it doesn’t mean that their mere presence in your blog will actually have people clicking on them. When talking about these ads, most usually forget about a basic element that may make or break their chances of being clicked. What you need is a good way to structure those ads on your page so they tend to be more attractive to readers. For example, Goodgle Adsense is a good program to have on your blog. You simply make options that indicate what type of products you want advertised and the program will look for such ads and paste them on your page. The issue is, putting those ads on any portion of your page doesn’t necessarily bring the same results. Putting those ads at the top of your post will probably not be good for your blog because people might feel discouraged by the fact that all they see initially are ads. A better place for them would probably be the bottom of your page where readers will eventually get to if they’re serious enough about reading your posts. If they find anything interesting, they’ll more likely click on it because they’ve had the satisfaction of reading a good post. Clicking on that ad won’t be a chore. The way your ads look will also have a way of influencing whether or not your readers are going to click on them, much less stay on your page long enough to read your posts. When you decide to have those ads on your page, you actually also have the option to choose which font colors to use. This is very important because a loud color combination can be very stressing to the eyes and whether or not readers are aware of it, they’re likely to respond the same way – click out. Make sure that when visitors come to read your blog, it will be an initially delightful experience. Don’t make them have to criticize a page that is poor in color coordination. Whether you like it or not, visual appeal accounts for a significant portion of why people will stay, read your blog and click on your ads. Having a blog make money is not an easy task but it not gargantuan, either. This means that whatever formula worked for the successful ones, they won’t be too hard to figure out as long as you know what what you’re doing. Then how to make money blogging will start to come naturally.

One of the hottest things going is blogging. It enables you to discuss a particular topic, like politics, food, latest news and others. You can write about hobbies, special interests, or anything you like at all, the possibilities are endless.

You can create your own blog by using blog hosting websites such as Blogger or through the use of blogging software. The free WordPress platform is the most popular. Posting and publishing to a blog is simple compared to a standard website. They have features that can let a person create a blog even if he or she has little or no knowledge about html or other formats used to create a website.

You can easily post a topic in blogs and can also be easily updated. Here is what a blog typically consists of:

The title or headline of the post, the body or the main content of the post, a message box for the comments of the readers, a link or URL of the article.Blogs allow the creation of categories for easy organization and structure. You can also add a link to other websites that refer to the post.

You can keep all your personal everyday activities and entries on a blog and set it up like a personal journal if you like. You have administrative control over who can contribute to and be published on your blog; you can also password protect it.
A blog can also be used to make extra money online by adding some affiliate program or an Adsense program in your blogging web page.

There is a choice of software, blogging platforms and systems available, and most are no or low cost. There are many softwares available in the market that enables you to create, maintain and even delete your own blogs. These softwares are usually very easy to use and people with little or no knowledge about html can easily create their own blog page.

Whatever type of blog you want to create, you can be sure that blogging software can make it easier for you to create your own blog. It is important to maintain and keep your content fresh to keep readers interested and loyal to your blogs. Blogging platforms have many features and potential addons that allow you to easily maintain and add updates to your blog.

Internet Marketing And The Role Of Email Marketing

November 1st, 2009 by admin

When you hear the term “internet marketing“, what do you think of?

For many, that term conjures thoughts of websites or spamming or search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. For others, it’s all about graphical design, writing fancy code or even affiliate programs. All of those answers correct, but the essence of internet marketing is much simpler.

At its core, internet marketing is about these things:

* Understanding the target market to which the product/service/cause you’re marketing will appeal
* Determining exactly how your target market interacts with the internet
* Positioning your content on the internet to attract the attention of your target market
* Collecting information about your target market (also known as “leads”) for follow-up and conversion into sales
* Design of offers or incentives to induce the desired actions from your leads

Since there is insufficient space in this article to give all of these topics adequate attention, let’s focus on just one specific topic with the realm of internet marketing: Email Marketing.

My best payoff has always come by focusing on permission-based email marketing. Permission-based email marketing refers to the practice of collecting information (including email addresses) from website visitors and communicating with them via e-mail with their direct consent. The “permission” aspect of permission-based email marketing is what separates legitimate email marketers from the spammers that everyone despises.

My love of email marketing is strong for one reason: It works very well. Email marketing has been much like a never-ending goldmine: It enables us to produce income on demand simply by sending a good offer to our list. When you have thousands of loyal subscribers - as we do - and you put a strong and compatible offer in front of them, income becomes nearly automatic.

However, the key to successful email marketing is the development of a legitimate trust relationship with your subscribers. If you opt to send your subscribers a request for purchases every single day, they will likely tire of your badgering and cease reading your emails altogether.

Alternatively, if you take the time to provide good content to your readers on a regular and frequent basis, you’ll discover that your readers take all of your emails far more seriously, and as a result your emails will be opened, read and acted upon with greater frequency. Essentially, email marketing is really an exercise in trust.

While there are many more aspects to internet marketing than just permission-based email marketing, email has definitely been the cornerstone on which our business is built.

Keeping Your Socia Media Accounts in Good Standing

September 7th, 2009 by admin

Help Key

If you are a heavy user of bookmarking and social buzz sites as I am– for my own work, clients and for articles I enjoy in various fields– you must maintain your social media sites in good standing.  You must be an active member of each community you join and use these sites for a variety of tasks a little bit at a time.

Take time each day to maintain your social media sites by:

1.) Completing your profile on the site. Include a picture and a little about yourself. Include your major websites, if it is allowed. This is a good way to publicize your services and products.

2.) Meet other members of the social media community and invite like-minded members to become your friend. When the feature is included in the software, invite some of your own friends and associates to join the social media site. Some sites only let you share bookmarks and comments with people who are in your friend group, so the more you’ve got, the more your sites will circulate and the more influence you’ll have in supporting other people’s work.

3.) Join a selection of the most important general social media sites, and those that make sense for your niche.  Some of the more important general sites include Digg, Reddit, Delicious, Diggo, and Folkd.  There are hundreds of social media sites, however, many directed to particular fields or countries.

4.) Check out top articles in your area of interest on these sites and bookmark the ones that you may wish to reference again. Buzz or vote up the articles that are most significant.  Make comments on those sites that allow commenting.

5.) If you do a lot of bookmarking you will probably want to find software that makes the bookmarking process more automatic. Change these up.  Don’t just use one, and particularly avoid overusing any one site.  The search engines do not like to see unnatural patterns of bookmarking.  If you do 40 or 50 sites in one day all on one or two bookmarking sites you are running the risk of being shut down on that site, particularly if you routinely do that.  Make sure that if you have virtual assistants doing your bookmarking for you you also set limits on the number of bookmarks that they do in one day.  A good number might be 10 or 15 to any one site in one day.

Bookmarking and commenting on sites is a necessary part of gaining page ranking and moving up in natural page order within the search engines.  Google particularly pays attention to the quality, use of natural language patterns, and the distribution of buzz about different content.  Activity that moves outside of a specific range will bring on red flags unnecessarily.

Don’t have additional, qualified staff available to take on the hefty task of learning SEO
You haven’t fully examined the cost-effectiveness and facts of SEO to understand the reasons why you should be doing it

Don’t let the potential intimidation factor of SEO get in the way of your future success. You don’t have to understand all the ins and outs of what SEO pros specialize in.
